FAQs
Quick answers to how we ship, what we accept, and how we keep toys safe.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does it work?
We help people clear out their old toys that are gathering dust and use these as a beacon of hope to many within the community.
Why do we want old toys?
Over 20% of Australian children live in poverty. We are making quality developmental tools affordable for all. In addition by using our consignment method enables families to gain $$ from their toys that would otherwise be thrown into landfill.
What toys do you accept?
We happily accept all brand name and wooden toys in good working condition. Sadly due to sanitation issues we cannot accept soft or stuffed toys at this time. Jigsaws, board games, STEM activities are all very happily accepted
Are the toys safe?
Every toy goes through a rigid quality test prior to sanitising with steam, no nasty chemicals EVER. The toys are then categorised which provides the information that would normally be on the box, but we don’t waste unnecessary packaging - we used recycled materials! Then its off to be photographed and popped onto the website
I don’t have any toys, how can I still help?
There are a variety of ways for you to get involved. We are all\ways seeking volunteers to assist with the sorting of the toys. We use pillowcases of every size as our sturdy reusable bags, donations of those and all sorts of batteries would be gratefully received. The BEST way to help is to please tell your friends as the more who know what we do the more people we can assist.
Do you only take complete items?
At times we are donated or have a consignor which has a toy missing a piece or two. Due to us being so niche we can collect odd parts to ensure our toys are always as complete as possible. We LOVE the bottom of the toy box treasures; game pieces, hammers, toy phones, drumsticks, doll furniture, doll outfits, little people, trains and more!
